The famous three-way relationship between Jappe Nilssen, Oda Lasson and Christian Krogh, is portrayed in literature. Edvard Munch made a drawing for his despairing friend, Jappe. This work is probably the first draft for the painting, Melancholy, which was painted in 1891.
